A long-lived monolith blocked every partner integration. A full rewrite was politically and financially untenable.
Approach
Assessment ranked domains by revenue impact and risk. We wrapped one high-traffic domain with stable APIs, dual-ran traffic, then extracted that slice while the core stayed online.

- New channel integrations shipped against the API without touching the whole core
- Dual-run period kept customer-facing risk bounded
